Tí Bì Hú
Twenty years in the making, timeless in the pouring.
The Tí Bì Hú is a masterpiece of modern Yixing design, born from a remarkable collaboration between master potter Gu Jingzhou and Professor Gao Zhuang of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. Its sleek, disc-like form draws inspiration from the ancient jade bi — a flat, circular ritual object symbolizing heaven — giving this teapot a quietly cosmic elegance. Nearly two decades of sketching, sculpting, and refining went into perfecting its shape, making every curve feel inevitable.
The lid of the Tí Bì Hú was redesigned as late as 1988 — a decade after the pot's main form was finalized — because Gu Jingzhou wasn't satisfied until every detail was just right.
