This elegant rectangular flower pot, with its neatly folded corners, showcases Yixing's famed Zisha clay at its most understated and refined. Far from just teapots, Yixing craftsmen have long created stunning vessels for bonsai cultivation — and this 1970s piece from the Yixing Pottery Factory is a perfect example of that tradition. The porous Zisha clay keeps roots happy by balancing moisture, drainage, and airflow in a way plastic pots simply can't match.
Yixing Zisha clay is so breathable that plants grown in these pots are less likely to suffer root rot — bonsai masters have sworn by them for generations, prizing function and beauty in equal measure.
