Bào Chūn Hú
Spring has arrived — and it's ready to pour.
The Bào Chūn Hú, or 'Heralding Spring' teapot, is a celebration of the season in clay form — often shaped to mimic a blooming plum branch, with the spout, handle, and lid playfully crafted from gnarled twigs and budding flowers. It's the kind of teapot that feels alive on your shelf, like spring itself is trying to pour you a cup. Cheerful and symbolic, it's a favorite gift during Chinese New Year as a wish for fresh beginnings.
The plum blossom motif on the Bào Chūn Hú is deeply tied to Chinese New Year tradition, since plum trees bloom in the cold of winter — making them a powerful symbol of resilience, hope, and the promise of warmer days ahead.
