Yìng Biǎn Hú

硬扁壶
Flat, bold, and built to impress your tea shelf.

The Ying Bian Hu, or 'Hard Flat Pot,' is a study in satisfying geometric tension — its wide, flattened body sits low and bold, like a flying saucer that decided to stay for tea. Despite its compressed shape, it pours with surprising grace, a testament to the skill required to balance form and function in Yixing clay. It's the kind of teapot that looks almost too architectural to use — until you do, and then you never want to stop.

Did You Know?

Crafting a flattened teapot like the Ying Bian Hu is actually harder than making a round one — the compressed shape demands perfect symmetry and structural integrity, since any weakness in the clay walls becomes immediately obvious in the final form.
