Shuāng Quān Hú
Two masters, one teapot, a lifetime of artistry.
The Double Ring Cable teapot is a masterpiece from the twilight years of Gu Jingzhou, one of the greatest Yixing potters of the 20th century. This 1992 creation is a true collector's treasure — hand-engraved by Gu himself and adorned with painted plum blossoms by legendary painter Liu Haisu at the remarkable age of 97. It's less a teapot and more a conversation between two living legends, frozen in clay and ink.
The inscriptions on this teapot were a collaboration between Gu Jingzhou and painter Liu Haisu, who contributed his artwork at age 97 — making this piece a rare fusion of Yixing pottery craft and Chinese fine art, signed by two giants of 20th-century Chinese culture.
