Héhuān Hú
Where joy and clay meet in perfect harmony.
The Héhuān Hú, or 'Joyful Union' teapot, is one of the celebrated Eighteen Mansheng Forms — a legendary set of designs attributed to the scholar-official Chen Mansheng in the early 19th century. Its graceful, rounded shape is inspired by the idea of harmony and togetherness, making it as meaningful as it is beautiful. Unlike most Yixing teapots shaped by hand with a paddle and anvil, the Héhuān Hú is traditionally formed using a wooden or convex mold, giving it its distinctive, perfectly symmetrical curves.
The name 'Héhuān' (合欢) literally means 'joyful union' and is also the name of the beautiful pink mimosa flower in Chinese culture — so this teapot quietly carries the symbolism of love, reunion, and happiness every time it's used.
